Bernie Horton - Performer - New in 2025

Bernie has been in the theatre world for 20 years and loved every experience. He has had the good fortune of bringing many leading and supporting roles to life. Some examples are: George – Its a Wonderful Life, Oscar – The Odd Couple, Lt Kendrick – A Few Good Men, The Old Man – A Christmas Story, Andrew – I Hate Hamlet, Heck Tate – To Kill A Mockingbird, Multiple roles – Almost Maine and many others. Bernie has only recently started listening to self-help, non-fiction and fictional podcasts and audio dramas. He fell in love with the format. The first fictional audio drama he listened to quickly became a favorite, Tower 4. Bernie reached out to the writer/producer and was lucky enough to score a small part in their Season 3, Episode 10 episode as the Milky Eyed Man. It was a small, quirky part with few lines and a lot of grunting, groaning, screeching, screaming and whimpering. Recording this small part reinforced the desire to be a part of this world. So, here he is, willing to try absolutely anything. Regardless of what you seek: quirky voices, accents, creatures, or narration, please feel free to reach out. Looking forward to doing so much more.

Born in the Big Easy, New Orleans, LA, Chuck grew up in Athens, Georgia, blocks from the University of Georgia, which made his multiple degrees (Geography, Climatology, Computer Science) convenient to work through. While slow-tracking through the multiple UGA degrees, he worked as a paramedic (and an EMT before Georgia formally certified paramedics) and gained a vastly different sense of his small hometown. After a long career as a software developer providing client-specific solutions to the many data and mapping challenges faced by Electric and Gas Utilities, Chuck resumed his various artistic activities, performing several live/original stories for Athens’ Rabbit Box events, as well as both acting and technical roles in the local Town’n’Gown Theatre.
