Based on the characters from the Young Adult Fiction 10 Letters series written by Joe Swenson, our goal is to give you a new way to fictional podcast stories that changes the go to market game for audio fiction. Featuring top talent acting, incredible editing, fantastic writing and direction and an enthusiastic fan base dedicated to breaking art and making it new and fresh.

Gwen first participated in theater in 2002 as a volunteer from the audience. Since then, she has gone on to perform with a number of local theater groups throughout New England, participating in plays, festivals, musicals, murder mystery dinners, feature-length films, and more. A recent highlight has been her foray into writing and performing sketch comedy in Portland, ME. When she’s not on stage, Gwen works for the fire service and spends her free time boxing, building furniture, and planning elaborate photoshoots for her pets.

Nathan is excited to be part of his first BAE podcast series, after lending his voice to several radio dramas with Midcoast Theater Company that were produced during the pandemic, doing some voiceover work with Maine Streaming Media, and providing play by play for some high school sports on Nokomis Warrior Broadcasting. His acting experience includes an independent film (Bluebird) and various student films, local commercials, professional and community theater, and even puppetry with Last Song Studios. He also has credits as director (Moana Jr), vocal music director (Annie Jr, Willy Wonka Jr, Lion King Jr, Seussical Jr, Sweeney Todd (HS version)), fight choreographer (Beauty and the Beast, Little Women the Musical, Dead Man’s Cell Phone, Narnia, Alice! a New Musical, Moon Over Buffalo, Newsies, Dracula, etc.), and pit musician (Beauty and the Beast, Shrek the Musical, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown). Nathan lives in Bangor, ME with his wife Holly, daughter Clara, and dog Maggie, and thanks them for their love and support!

Dana is a Chicago-based actor, voice talent, and playwright. She was awarded Excellence In Playwriting by the Theater Association of NYS 2022 for her play All Out Of Spoons. She was a Finalist Winner in the Hear Me Out Monologue Competition performing her original monologue Sound Mind. She was recently on stage (Chicago) in Sharon Rothstein’s All the Days, (Miranda). She’s recorded dozens of audiobooks on ACX and has been a voice talent with Gather By The Ghostlight, Theatrical Shenanigans, and the Shouting In The Evenings Podcast. Adam is an actor currently based in Portland, ME. He can also be heard as “Professor Collins” in Maudlin Anthology’s “The Voicemail Box is Full” & “Joe” in Mind’s Eye Productions’ “Give us Pete”, and “Kylo Ren/Ben Solo” and “Han Solo” in “A Crack in the Force/Reylo Animated” for Gwendy85 Studios, as well as various commercial bumpers on Outside TV. He recently appeared on stage in “The Taming of the Shrew” as “Lucentio”, “Sea Bound” as “Angus”, “The Tempest” as “Prospero” and as an Education Artist with Portland Stage Company’s “Play me a Story” program. Jeff is excited to perform with Broken Arts Entertainment for the first time and join the talented team bringing A Fragile Mind to life. Recent favorite theater role and productions include Rumors (Lenny Ganz) at Chocolate Church Arts Center (coming up in June 2023), Black Comedy (Harold) at Gaslight Theater, Communicating Doors (Reece) with Actors’ Studio of Newburyport, Jake’s Women (Jake) at Centre Stage Theatre, On Golden Pond (Charlie) at City Theater, and Murder on the Orient Express (Monsieur Bouc) at Lyric Music Theater.
Jeff has studied and performed improv and storytelling at a variety of locations, including Actors’ Studio of Newburyport, The Theater Project, and the Maine Renaissance Faire. When not performing, Jeff is a Director of another kind, at McArthur Library in Biddeford, Maine. Thanks to Joe and the production team for this opportunity.

Derek is an actor and singer based in Maine, and a Northeastern native but a long-time resident of the San Francisco Bay Area. In Maine, he has performed in plays (And Then They Came For Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank, Wait Until Dark, and Sylvia) and musicals (Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Carousel, The Rocky Horror Show, Bright Star, and Reefer Madness), and he continues to perform online with the Playwrights’ Center of San Francisco. He trained in theater and voice-over acting at the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre, and in music at the Blue Bear School of Music (San Francisco).

Claire is a voice actor from the Boston Metro area and delighted to join the Fragile Mind family. Prior to voice acting you could see Claire on stage in musicals and plays in the Massachusetts area. Past roles include Lily (Secret Garden), Maria (Sound of Music), Ariel (The Tempest), Hope (Urinetown), Gabriella (Boeing,Boeing) and Cleopatra (Antony and Cleopatra). Claire holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance and has been studying voice and speech for over 20 years.

Ray is a British/American actor – Ray has performed such roles as, TEVYA, WILLIE LOMAN, FAGIN and BOTTOM. Ray studied theatre at university and was awarded Best Male Musical Performer in a Lead Role by the American College Theatre Festival at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. After twenty-five years working in the U.K., Ray returned home to the USA and settled down in Maine. Stage, Film, TV – okay, but this new Virtual Stuff? Oh, well, ‘Old Dogs, New Tricks!!

Helen is a small town girl from Maine living her dream of acting and preforming. Helen stars as Kelli on A Fragile Mind. Her last show with Broken Arts Entertainment was Quarantine 2038 where she stared as Naomi Ruttlege. Helen started out singing and dancing at a young age and then later fell in love with acting/preforming. Helen also has a love for musicals and has preformed as Aunt Spiker in James and the Giant Peach, Florinda in Into the Woods, Grease, Annie Get Your Gun, and High School Musical. Along with acting Helen also is a Producer for A Fragile Mind and was a guest Executive Producer on episode 6 of Quarantine.

Hannah is an actress and playwright from New Jersey. She has a degree in theatre from Lycoming College and was last seen in their production of The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon. Other favorite credits include Maria/Marge in Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play (Lycoming), Agatha in Guys and Dolls (OBSP) and Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing (Theatre Off-Kilter). Not to mention, her play The Last Spin Cycle was produced as part of “Talking Backwards” at John DeSotelle Studio in November 2022. Hannah Lee is beyond stoked to be a part of this team and would like to thank Joe Swenson and everyone involved.

Cole Hunter Dzubak is a Michigan-based playwright and actor who is also a proud member of the Dramatists Guild. Dzubak graduated in May 2022 from Michigan State University with a BFA in Acting and additional major in Communication. He has had his work produced in six states and has been published through two different organizations. He has had the pleasure of working with organizations including Second Stage Productions, Talking it Out Play Festival, and Rainy Day Artistic Collective. Dzubak has acted and voice acted across Michigan, as well as virtually, having professional credits with Michigan State University, Penny Seats Theatre Company, and Evil Twin Digital. He is the co-creator and co-writer of the mini-series “Counter CULTure,” a horror comedy produced by Evil Twin Digital.

Randy began performing on stage in 2011 in the Bangor area. He moved to southern Maine in 2016 and has enjoyed working with various theatre groups. Randy’s first full-length play, Inside Man, will have it’s world premiere at the Schoolhouse Arts Center. Randy was last seen as Mrs. Trunchbull in the Matilda the Musical. Randy is an award winning playwright, director, actor, and all things theater. He is also a regular contributor to Broken Arts Entertainment productions.

Jack has been involved in theater since he was 11 years old. He has done many plays with the middle and high schools as well as the Belfast Maskers. The Maskers is where he met Joe Swenson 20 years ago. Since then Jack has worked with Joe in a number of projects from plays to improv to a post-apocalyptic Zoom series. Jack joined the Fragile Minds as an assistant director, stepping behind the curtain for the first time. He has enjoyed the challenge of working with our company.
